Player Quotes

  • NeXus- "Last I was tracking we were trying to negotiate trade deals for me, I did not know I was dropped until you just told me. I originally signed up as a skater and as a good amount of us know I've started playing goalie now. There has been whispers within the league of why I wasn't starting over Bard in net, and I wanted to find opportunity else ware that I can get time in net. So I requested a trade after some Bard made the comment "One of my initial ideologies captaining is that i would personally rather lose every game 20 goals down than win sitting on the bench" after an open ended suggestion that I start instead of Bard against the Texas Toucans. He was also considering postponing games that he couldn't attend over me just playing as goalie. But I'm just a goalie having fun on floating body hockey so it is what it is and we'll see how this all unfolds."
  • Grab- *PENDING RESPONSE*
  • Huzzington- "I'm excited to provide anything the lotus need and also excited to get called up to div 2"
  • Dan- *PENDING RESPONSE*
  • Mal- "Excited to backup goldtrader and skyrocket this team to the top of the standings. Yunoo has made a very smart and wise decision here. I'm confident that will carry over onto the ice."
  • Pino- "I'm finding out about getting dropped thru the media smh"

Captain Quote

  • Captain Of the Lotus: Bard- "Grab, aka Player #43 is a fantastic player, but he just doesn't play the game, and during my trade exodus, I want some familiar faces. As for NeXuS, he wants to play goalie. He's picked up the role mid season and grown to a decent level of competency, but I captained to play. I also didn't want to trade for a different goalie I didn't really plan on playing, so I leave him on his own to find a team where he feels fit and get him some ice time. I wish him the best of luck in his goaltending endeavors." "On the subject of UDFA's Dan is a guy I've met a few times in the past. Picked in the 7th round, he didn't get much ice and was eventually dropped. I think he has potentially, he's shown in with his prospect Commanders, and I think he's another gamble for one of my substitute positions, but at least he plays the game and can sub, unlike Grab (love u grab :p) As for Huzz, he's someone I've worked with a lot and I've seen how flexible of a player he is. He's done well with his Chiefland Sentinels in division 3, and I definitely consider him a personal friend and another stable sub."
  • Captain Of the Toucans: Yunoo- "Needed a new goalie and mal the pug goat"

Trade 1

Shanghai Lotus Acquire:
  • Maus
  • Mini
Castors De Saint-Francois-Xavier-de-Brompton Acquire:
  • V
  • Crow
Player Quotes
  • Maus-""in a disturbing act of betrayal I have been banished to Lotus after doing everything possible to salvage a disastrous SFX draft. Truthfully I have little to no interest in D2 play after a string of good performances in D1 I have realized that this level of play is beneath a player of my ability. This move has no impact on my mental wellbeing, Go Lotus Long Live Bard the First!"
  • Mini- *PENDING RESPONSE*
  • V- "No Comment"
  • Crow- "Caw -- Squawk -- Rattling -- Click Click -- Caw -- Rattling"
Captain Quotes
  • Captain Of the Castors: iNick- "When I found out that V and Crow were available, I was immediately interested. I knew acquiring them wouldn’t come cheap—Mini and Maus have been foundational pieces of this team since the draft, and their input during the team’s creation was incredibly valuable. That said, I had to make the move I believed would improve the team. V and Crow were players I rated highly going into the draft, and being able to bring them in now is something I’m really excited about."
  • Captain Of the Lotus: Bard- "V is somebody I was happy to have the opportunity to pick, and his tallies on the stat sheet proved why. My second pick, Crow, was a super strong defensive pickup that goes well with V in front, but overtime our form of play shifted and we saw some lineup differentials. Thinking back to draft night, my second plan that I didn't execute on was to run a carry composition around a Maus first round pick, and so I've definitely shifted more in-line to that alternate plan. Maus and Mini are both very good players, and just as I learned a lot with my first roster, I hope to learn a lot with Mini Maus :p"

Trade 2

Shanghai Lotus Acquire:
  • Hockevy
  • BasiQ
North East Nighthawks Acquire:
  • BeeGeePi
  • Topher
Player Quotes
  • Hockevy- "No Comment"
  • Basiq- *PENDING RESPONSE*
  • BeeGeePi- "I am super excited about the trade. I'm glad I got a chance with the Lotus since I got drafted to be a backup. I hope them the best and am looking forward to playing some lockdown defense as a Nighthawk. It's cool to be going with Topher as well so I at least know one person on the new team"
  • Topher- "My quote is just Reason : "Disagreement in what we wanted vs the captain and overall objectives of the team." Overall : "Happy to be a part of a class organization like the North East Knighthawks, and look forward to bolstering the defenses."
Captain Quotes
  • Captain of the Lotus: Bard- "Topher has been somebody that I've always enjoyed being around in the community, and he's had some very solid showing as a Lotus. He also helped with a lot of the negotiating to help make sure I didn't get done poorly. BeeGeePi has grown a lot since the start of the season, and I think he's a very solid flex player that will help NEN a lot. As for Hockevy, he's someone I played with with Maus on HAT in the preseason exhibition, and I look forward to seeing them pair up again on the Lotus. As for BasiQ, I've only had some thin interactions with them, but I've seen some of their games and their stats, and I definitely look forward to growing that goal category."
  • Captain of the NightHawks: Wind- "With how things are going as of now for the Nighthawks, this trade probably comes as a surprise for most. But we are trying to win a championship and we need to consider balancing the team as much as possible. The two defensive studs that Topher and BeeGeePi are will definitely help the blueline and ultimately help our forward group by having less defensive responsibility. It's sad to lose Hockevy and BasiQ, but we had to make the best team trade and they, unfortunately were the parts going the other way. I hope they are successful in Shangai."

  1. Yeah you did NOT cook with this one chief, at least the players and captains did 99% of the job for you.
