The first round or the semi finals for the pro division has 4 highly skilled teams facing off against one another. With a 3 way tie for first and only a single point keeping the Liberty from the pack it was bound to be an entertaining round and that's exactly what we got

Series 1: Philadelphia Liberty (4) v.s Albany Beavers (1)

Game 1 Lines:

Albany-            Philadelphia-

    - Yeesh            -Zebra

    Tony Flow Goal from V & Rezy is the lone goal scored. The Liberty with their strong rotational and defensive game manage to squander any chance for the Beavers to get something going. Zebra collects the shutout in game 1.

    V from Kapanen & Tony Flow is the opening and closing goal once again as we have yet another low scoring shut down performance for the Liberty. Zebra has been relatively untested in either game so far but in the moment they need him he is standing strong. The Beavers desperately need to wake up offensively if they want a hope of clawing back into this series

    Meatsale from Car & Hijinx opens up the scoring in the first, but Rezy ties it back up in the second from Kapanen & Tony Flow. Under a minute later Tony Flow gives the Liberty the lead from Rezy & V. That would be the final goal in the game and the Liberty takes the win in 3. Albany watches their playoff hopes fizzle out after a very dominant season for the most part.

Game 3 Score: 2-1 Liberty

Captain of the Liberty Kapanen when asked his thoughts after the game- "I'm really proud of the way my team played in the 1st round. I'm especially impressed with how well V played against meatsale offensively and defensively. Zebra was amazing in net and kept us in all 3 games."

Series 2: Bloomington Wild (2) v.s Halifax Hooks (3)

Game 1 Lines:

    - Sleepi                -Crowbar

    In the second period Mat from DickiePecker & Sleepi opens the scoring but Maus from Bojarzin & TheLittleOwl levels it just a few seconds later. And just a minute later Bojarzin throws the puck towards Sleepi from behind the net and it barely squeaks in, TheLittleOwl & Dalfan picking up assists on the go-ahead goal. With a minute left in the third period TheLittleOwl scores the dagger after being sprung on a breakaway and dancing his way through Sleepi assisted by Crowbar & Bojarzin.

    Lumalee gives his team the boost early in the first period assisted by DickiePecker & Sleepy putting them up by one. With under a minute left in the second Bojarzin sneaks one through the near side against Sleepy assisted by TheLittleOwl & Maus bringing the game back to even. The game would stay even until the 3rd overtime where Owen would score the game winner for the Wild assisted by DickiePecker & Lumalee... or so we thought. The goal was reviewed and came back as a Gint so play continues until the 5th overtime where DickiePecker throws a shot from behind the center ice line and beats Crowbar off of a freak bounce off of a Hooks player in front of the net assisted by Lumalee & Mat.

Game 2 Score: 2-1 Wild

    Patience is the key in this game as we wait all the way until 9 seconds left in the game until the 0-0 tie breaks. TheLittleOwl scores what would prove to be the winning goal assisted by Dalfan & Maus off of a well places shot from deep behind the offensive blueline.

Game 3 Score: 1-0 Hooks

    Much of the same story from game 3 as both teams lock it down, not wanting to make any mistakes. This time we are forced to wait all the way until the second overtime where once again TheLittleOwl scores to win the game for his Hooks assisted by Dalfan & Bojarzin. Sleepy unfortunately had some technical errors leading to an accidental evacuation of the net but TheLittleOwl makes no mistakes burying it into the empty cage and securing the series for his team.

The Philadelphia Liberty square off against the Halifax Hooks in the finals for the Season 1 PHL Pro Division championship. Both captains were asked about their feelings going into the match and here is what they said.

Captain of the Liberty, Kapanen: "I'm excited to see how we can perform coming off our series win. We have had a bit of time off so just making sure we're warm and ready to go is really important"
